Bio
My name is Jackie Love and I am a media production student at Weston College. My particular interests in the course include research, pre-production paperwork, filming and editing. We are able to develop our technical skills through workshops, assigned projects and doing filming in our spare time which is something I am taking advantage of in order to improve my filming skills and I enjoy this a lot. I enjoy college a lot because we are able to be creative, develop and learn new skills, further improve ourselves and learn about the industry. I also enjoy college because it is an environment that I feel comfortable in and it is a place where I can get the best education for myself.
Interests
My main interests include watching films and TV programmes, listening to music and baking. I have also started to make short films in my spare time but this is something I started recently and I have only made one short film in my spare time but I do have plans to make more in the future.
Future aspirations
In the future I would like to become to a screenwriter and director within the film industry. I would get into this job by starting in a low level job (e.g. runner) and then work my way up to higher level jobs where I will have more transferable skills. I would then like to move over to short films where I can hopefully write and direct my own short films. After doing this, I would then like to transfer to feature films and I would be extremely happy if I could work within the film industry. I am aware that this will take a long time and the process won't be easy.
